Arizona Grown, High Quality, Best Flavor |
|
Cochise County, situated in the high desert of Southeastern Arizona is very like the climate in Iran, the traditional home of the pistachio, and still the world's largest producer of this nut. Our orchards grow at 4,000 feet, and in the winter experience the chilling weather that allows the new crop to begin its growth. In the summer months, hot sunny days and cool nights work in tandem to produce truly gourmet quality nuts.
The trees are young, some thirty years old, compared to the ancient Middle Eastern trees which might be 400 years old. We are able to control the water and enrich the soil to grow large, plain-shelled, delicious pistachios. |
